Ingredients
Batter
- ½ cup soft butter or fat
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
Filling
- ¾ cup butternuts
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
Topping
- A few maple butternuts
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Mix batter ingredients.
- Spread half of batter in ungreased round 8 × 3-inch (20 cm × 7 cm) pan.
- Pour in half of the filling.
- Add remaining batter followed by the rest of the filling.
- Bake at 325°F for 1 hour.
- Just before serving, top with maple butternuts.
