As a desert, for a brunch or as an afternoon snack, this is an easy and delicious treat! A pure delight made from local products.
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2-3 Cortland apples or a variety of apple that holds its shape well when cooked
- 175 g of grated aged Cheddar cheese
- 1 jar of Confinoix-Érable (60 ml)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350o F (175o C).
- In 4 mason jars (250 ml – wide mouth), put ½ to ¾ apple (unpeeled) cut in pieces in each jar.
- Bake for about 15 minutes.
- Take the dish out of the oven and set the oven to broil.
- Distribute the grated cheese on the apples and broil for 2 minutes or until the cheese is a light golden brown. Turn off the oven.
- Immediately when you take the dish out of the oven, add the Confinoix-érable in small drops on top of each pot. Serve hot or warm.
It tastes like heaven… Bon appétit!
Options:
- You can replace the apples with Bosc pears.
- You can replace the grated cheese with slices of brie cheese or slices of any soft cheese.
